You Show Them!

Oh this wondrous world we live in. It leaves me in awe at the things it gives us. I have come to realize that we see obstacles in our life as just that. Obstacles. But, in reality they are a chance for us to learn and grow from them. For example, I liked this boy...A LOT and one day he asks me to help him. He asked me to help him...talk to a girl he liked. See if she'd go out with them. Classic! It's like one of those movies. The good girl gets ditched for some trashy, electic girl. But! You see, in that moment in the movie the girl would be all down on herself thinking that he doesn't like her, and she'd turn all vindictive and really go talk to her about how horrible he is so that she can have him instead. But! That's not me. That's not who I am. I saw it as an opportunity to learn. I learned that when the right boy comes (one, it won't be in high school...guaranteed) I'll know it. The best things are worth waiting for. However, that doesn't mean that you don't have to work for it, that doesn't mean that it'll just show up in front of you on a silver platter.

All great things are worth waiting for.....and WORKING FOR!

You know what I hate? I hate when people make generalizations, even if they're true. I hate when people say "Ohh it's just human nature to steal, and lie." No. Actually, it isn't. You don't see everyone shoplifting, or lying do you? Didn't think so. Or what about during World War II? When the government made that HUGE generalization that all people of Japanese ancestry were enemies because of their heritage? No. Actually, they aren't. You don't see all Japanese telling Japan about our military plans? Do you? Didn't think so. People think it's okay to make assumptions, and generalizations because we don't show them otherwise. We let people make the status quo for us. That's why it's a great PERFECT time to Stand Up! stand up for who YOU are. Show people that not everyone fits in, and show them that that's okay!

It's a lot more fun living in the spotlight. THE ONLY WAY TO LIVE IN THAT SPOTLIGHT IS TO BE SEEN AND THE ONLY WAY TO BE SEEN IS BY STANDING UP AND STANDING OUT! So DO IT!

Show people that who you are is not who everyone else is. Show them that you are you and you are unique in every possible way.
